Amongst the birds

Amongst the Birds is about the couple Ólafur Aðalsteinsson and Jóhanna Óladóttir, who for over two decades have dedicated their lives to the development and protection of an eider duck colony in Loðmundarfjörður in East Iceland. In the fjord, which has been uninhabited since the 1970s, they have built up one of the country's most thriving nesting sites under challenging conditions and in complete isolation for a large part of the year.
