
The National Film Archives present works by director Reynir Oddsson
Reynir Oddsson studied acting and filmmaking in the United States and London. Upon his return he brought ideas influenced by the French New Wave movement to the Icelandic film industry. Both with his fictions and documentaries Reynir struck a fresh new note that would resonate in the 1960s and 1970s and alter the course of aesthetics and approach of Icelandic filmmaking.
