Húsey is a journey into an Icelandic microcosm where man lives in harmony with nature. The island is at the mouth of Héraðsflói and surrounded by glacial rivers, where the Lagarfljót and Jökla rivers flow into one estuary, creating a unique life cycle on the border of salt and fresh water. Húsey is a food source and one of the largest seal fjords in the country. Since ancient times, gatherers and hunters have lived here, hunting seals in dangerous glacial lakes, using fishing methods that are unique in the world and unique to the island. In the film, we observe for one year the life of the last seal farmer in Iceland.
