Every spring, a competition is held between Grandrokk United and girls from the 2nd division of Stjarnan in Garðabær. The boys have always had to bow out – but now it is time to do something about it.

Grandrokk United is based on an idea by Lísa Páls and she is also listed as the director. But the main author had two films in the competition for the best Grandrokk film - which was forbidden according to the rules of the game - and so Lísa Páls only got the honor.

Grandrokk – hetjusaga should certainly have been in first place in this same competition (that's what all the Grandarar said) but feminist Elísabet Rónalds was on the jury and fought hard against it. The film therefore came in second place.
